Japan to Allow SSB on 160

Good news for "Top Band" DXers, just as the winter DX season approaches. The ARRL Letter reports that Japan's telecommunications ministry has authorized single sideband (SSB) transmissions on 160 meters. The Japan Amateur Radio League's band plan for 160 suggests LSB operation between 1848 and 1875 kHz (carrier frequency).
