Ham License Exams in Lebanon

(Map courtesy CIA World Factbook)
Normally, ham radio license exams don't make news, but it's a different story when they're the first examinations offered in more than ten years.

Newsline reports that, in late October, approximately 50 prospective amateurs in Lebanon took the first exams offered by their nation's Ministry of Communications in over a decade.

At press time, the candidates were still waiting for their test results, but it's safe to say DXers can expect to hear more OD5 stations on the air in the near future.
