When the ARRL celebrates its 100th anniversary next year, it
hopes to do so with a unique call sign for the occasion. The League board
expressed a desire at its July meeting to request that the FCC issue it a
temporary call sign of W100AW for use during 2014 by headquarters station W1AW
and "by others as the W1AW trustee designates," according to a
posting on the League's website.
