Amateurs pursuing higher education may be eligible for one or more of the 50 scholarships administered by the Foundation for Amateur Radio (FAR). Awards range from $300 to $5000 and may give preference to students from certain geographic areas or in certain courses of study. The application deadline for most awards is April 15, although a few have a May 15 deadline. Details and downloadable applications may be found on the FAR website at <www.farweb.org>.
