The Mount Diablo
Amateur Radio Club's Disaster Recovery Program has made a $1000 grant to the
California Amateur Radio Linking Association (CARLA) to help rebuild one of its
repeater sites that was destroyed by wildfires in 2018. CARLA operates a linked network of repeaters that covers much of California and western Nevada. According to the ARRL Letter, the network is an important link in providing reliable communications during wide-scale emergencies, such as wildfires.
