Three current hams and one former amateur have been appointed to the FCC's Technology Advisory Council, or TAC. According to the ARRL Letter, they include Greg Lapin, N9GL, an expert on RF safety issues; Michelle Thompson, W5NYV, CEO of the Open Research Institute; Andy Clegg, W4JE, of the Wireless Innovation Forum; and Dale Hatfield, ex-W0IFO, former Chief of the FCC's Office of Engineering and Technology (OET).
The TAC advises the FCC on many areas of emerging technology and innovation. The appointments were made by FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel.
