Two images of Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) activity were included among NASA's "Best Space Station Science Pictures of 2021" video. According to the ARRL Letter, this is significant because it acknowledges the science education and research elements of the ARISS program. The images are shared here.
The program’s goal is
to spark student interest in mathematics and science and inspire the next
generation of explorers. Selected students learn about the station, radio
waves, and other topics and prepare questions before their scheduled call.
