"Frequency" TV Show Back in the Works

Poster from the 2000 NewLine Cinema
movie, "Frequency." A spinoff TV series
is planned.

A television spinoff of the 2000 movie, "Frequency," which featured a detective using vintage ham radio gear to contact his deceased firefighter father, is apparently back on track, with a pilot ordered for possible airing on, appropriately, the CW Network! An initial plan for a series on NBC fell through. According to the ARRL Letter, the new series, if it makes it on the air, will feature actress Peyton List as the detective who communicates through time with her late father (also a detective, in this version) via ham radio.
