Bassist LJ Junstrom, K4EB, SK

Also becoming a Silent Key recently was rock musician Larry "LJ" Junstrom, K4EB. A founding member of the Lynard Skynard band, Junstrom was best known as the bassist for 38 special, a southern rock band for which he played from 1977 to 2014. The ARRL Letter reports that Junstrom was originally licensed in 1962, but was inactive for most of his playing and touring career, returning to the ham bands in 1990 and becoming a frequent check-in on the 40-meter musicians' net.
