Overall participation in
the scouting movement's 2019 Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) was down slightly
compared with 2018, according to Newsline, with reports received from 201
stations at which over 9100 Scouts and nearly 4700 visitors participated.
However, it was noted that even though fewer stations took part in the October
event, those stations that did participate hosted more people than in past
years, with an average increase of 24% at each station.
