The ARRL has begun accepting applications for a new type of life membership designed specifically for members who are at least 70 years of age and have been ARRL members for at least 25 years. The one-time fee for U.S. members is $750, with variations for international members and family members. The fee must be paid in a lump sum, unlike standard life membership ($1225 in the U.S.), which permits payments to be made in several installments.
