A full day of
learning about contesting tips and techniques is being offered for the 13th
consecutive year the day before the opening of the 2019 Dayton Hamvention.
According to coordinator Tim Duffy, K3LR, the ConTest University (CTU) sessions
will once again be held at the Crowne Plaza hotel in downtown Dayton on Thursday, May 16. It will feature
sessions by leading contesters for both beginners and more experienced
contesters.
The $85 fee includes all sessions, class notes, a textbook and
various handouts, as well as breakfast, lunch, snacks and a Wednesday night
pizza party. Scholarships are available for hams age 25 or younger, as well as
a discount for any ham who has made a club presentation or had an article
published in a ham magazine in the past year. Advance registration is required.
