ARRL Plans Youth Focus at Dayton
The ARRL was planning to shine a spotlight on
young hams at the 2016 Dayton Hamvention®, sponsoring a "Youth Rally" on
Saturday, May 21. According to the ARRL
Letter, the rally was open to hams and potential hams between the ages of
11 and 26. It was scheduled to start with the annual Dayton Youth Forum, led by
CQ contributor Carole Perry, WB2MGP,
followed by a group lunch and an afternoon filled with hands-on demonstrations
and various ham radio activities. Pre-registration was required and a $20 fee
covered the cost of lunch, a t-shirt and various materials.
