Visitors to the Arecibo
Observatory in Puerto Rico should soon be able to see and hear the Arecibo
Observatory Amateur Radio Club's station, KP4AO, on the air. According to the
ARRL
Letter, a new station is being built in the exhibition hall of the
observatory's visitor center, centered on a new FTdx-1200 transceiver donated
by Yaesu. The station is due to be on the air by this summer.
